Level 2 diagnostic is required for many of the following problems: Advanced Brake System Diagnosis, Air Conditioning Electronics and Refrigerant, Distributorless Ignition Testing, Symptoms such as Engine Dies at Lights or While Driving, No-Start (not related to battery), Running or Performance Problems, ABS Light on, Air Bag Light on, Check Engine Light on, Power Loss Light on, Service Engine Soon Light on, Driveability Concerns or any Module Controlled Systems. Test drove vehicle twice. Did not really feel any thing out of the ordinary. Did a system scan. No codes stored in any modules. Rode with customer also. Could not duplicate. Customer going to drop off at end of week and leave for diagnostics.

    • Pulled vehicle in bay and engine is very noisy. Check engine light is on and checked codes. P0455 – Evap. emission system leakage detected, P052A – Cold start camshaft position A timing over – advanced (Bank 1 intake camshaft) and P1326 – Glow relay stuck on. Checked the block with stethoscope and sounds like cylinder 3 piston rod bearing is bad. Researched and found a campaign for a warranty extension to 150K for engines with rod bearing issues to have the engine replaced though Kia. Advised customer to contact a dealer to have this warranty taken care of.
